From France (350€): Apply on 22th september and just get approved the 17 october ... (Yes, it's very long !!!!)!

With the DTV holder number, we can apply now FOR THE REST OF FAMILY : Wife (350 € more ) and kid (I still don't know if we must pay 350 € for a little lucky boy of 4 years too..)...

So it's long and quite expensive for family ...

Answer summary

The user reports a lengthy visa approval process from the French embassy, taking nearly a month, with additional costs for family members. They inquire about the visa fee for a 4-year-old child and consider alternative options for entering Thailand. Comments from others confirm that each applicant pays the visa fee and suggest a potential workaround for the child's entry.

I started by myself, then once accepted paid for my wife and 2 kids.

I wouldn’t take the risk that they don’t have the same visa as us.. and be blocked at arrival..

We start with a 3 months trip next month, they could be not accepted with tourist visa.

Every applicant pays the fee. You could just have the child enter free using 60 day visa exempt stamp and let them overstay, no fines or bans.

French embassy is incredibly slow. Must be longest and worst ever.
