TLDR : Answer Summary
The wait time to reapply for a visa after rejection in Thailand can vary depending on the reasons for rejection. Some users report being able to reapply immediately if the issue was minor, such as a name mismatch, while others noted that they should wait up to 5 years if faced with more significant issues. It is often recommended to consider applying at a different embassy or after correcting any problems to increase the chances of approval.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the Non-O Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
If the issue was something simple like a name mismatch, incorrect photo, or missing documents, you can resubmit a new application right away, ideally after correcting the issue.
However, if there was no clear reason given or if you were previously asked for additional financial documents before the rejection, it's often best to apply again from another country (e.g. Vietnam, Indonesia, or the Philippines), where approval rates tend to be higher.
From what we've observed, second applications from the same country, especially without addressing major concerns.. have a much lower success rate.

Passport data ( names ) cannot be changed ! and visafee is lost.
its just a normal info field containing your name, like if you mistype your address in a pizza order ๐คทโโ๏ธ its not linked to the passport picture, you can choose whether to use autoread or not to save a minute or 2 of your time.

Pizza orders are not a personal identification document, and it is a security issue if you canโt supply 100 % correct information, as written in the machine readable field at the bottom of the picture page of the passport.
Read the Embassy website, if you still not understand.
I noticed it myself and emailed them, they said they cannot do changes to the application and told me to apply again. Also in the rejectiom email it said wrong name. The autoread biodata got me :( i had the name correct but saved and continued application later, so it read the data again and changed the name to wrong again :( my bad i didnt doublecheck everything again
Sometimes, very rarely, they tell you on rejection, especially on dumb mistakes like that

Anonymous participant 199 not so dumb as it sounds... when the app read my biodata from passport picture i noticed it got my last name wrong. I did the full app and saved it for later till i got the rest of the documents. After I continued the application, it had again read the data and replaced my correction with the wrong reading... i should have checked everything again, but i only did before i saved it for later.
so after you corrected it the first time, saved your application, then went back to finish it and submit it, it had changed it back to the wrong data it scanned from the MRZ line of your passport? ๐ฎ
you can submit again right away but it's better to wait and think clearly about the reason of rejection and not to use same embassy to apply again...unless the reason was obvious mistake to correct

Adnan Khairi one indicator is usually easy. If your application is "cancelled" it usually indicates a problem with your passport data. Rejection is usually a problem with the additional information

Adnan Khairi do they email you with details on why it was rejected or do you have to figure that out?

Most Embassy websites clearly states they do not tell reason for rejection.
If immediately rejected, then wrong passport data is the most likely reason.
That again is clearly stated on the Embassy website, that passport data has to be 100 % correct, and can not be changed.
READ THE EMBASSY WEBSITE THOROUGHLY BEFORE APPLYING.
most of the time they dont, you just have to go back on your application and read through your application and all the details you provided, remember just because you think application and documents are complete doesn't mean they are....also its not easy if the application is based on soft power because then it will be in the embassy hand to decide.....
