Hello TVA family. Like i promised i will be back with report. Just came home from Khon Kaen Immigration office and got my proof of residency for my driving licence. First of all if someone does not have a car and choose to use public transport it is pretty straight forward. Of you arrive to Khon Kaen bus terminal go and look for the mini bus(the pick up modified to carry people). Tell them you want to go to Ban Somlan. Show the driver the Immigration office address and he will drop you exactly by the Immigration office. Go to the other side of the there is a big gate entrance. Keep left and you will see a very big red board saying IMMIGRATION OFFICE. If you already filled in the TM30 form look on the right hand side by the toilets there is a wee tiny window. B4 you hand over your docs make sure you have a copy from blue housekeeping book signed by the owner copy of the owner ID card singed as well, copy from your passport first page and your latest stamp if you are on a Non O ME and the copy of the TM 6 wee card as well( that is what they was asking from me today). Hand over your things the woman gonna double check everything. Of you going for just to register your address you will get a wee paper from the TM30 form and thats it you are done. If you need the proof of residency the woman will escort you to the head officer who is gonna ask couple of question about your relationship with your wife, how long yous are together how often you coming to visit and about the address you want to register. After he signed the TM30 form you head back to the wee window and for a 500THB fee you will get your proof of residency. B4 you pay the fee double check all the details on the proof of residency(the reason why i am saying is the woman wrote my name wrong and she put wrong dates as well). Paid the fee they put the letter in an envelop and you are done. The way back to the bus terminal again pretty easy. Stay on that side where you came out by the gate and look for any mini bus all of them heading to the bus terminal so you can catch any of them. A return ride cost 20thb.

Thanks for Todd Daniels he mentioned that in Khon Kean they arent so strangt about the things so i was not charged with the 1600thb penalty because i did not know i have to report within 24 hours if i am arrived to my wife's home so 1600 stood in our pocket and we had a nice lunch with my wife. Thanks again guys and keep up the good work.
