Hi guys,

I am due for my first 90-day reporting and I have a question about the process. Can I just show up to my nearest immigration office anytime with my documents, or should I book an appointmnt first? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To complete your first 90-day reporting in Thailand, you can generally show up at your local immigration office where you registered your address. However, if you're in Bangkok, it's highly recommended to book an appointment to save time. Make sure to bring your passport, a copy of your visa, and the TM30 and TM47 forms, which are related to your stay. You should report between 15 days before and 7 days after the due date.

Some do not know what a 90 day report is and other recommend to use TM47 and TM30, and you can do it Anytime.

It seems lots of you are not even interested in following Thai rules and regulations.

But okay.

You need to report to the local Immigration Office if you are staying 90 days consecutive inside Thailand. The day of arrival is day 1.

You make the first report in person, you bring your notification of stay, the paper you got from your landlord/house owner after your arrival at that address.

And you bring your passport, most immigration offices can scan your passport and will print out with all the date filled in, a form which you have to sign.

You get a small piece of that form with a NEW date to make your next report.

You visit the Immigration Office where your address is registered between 15 days before due date until 7 days after.

What is this 90 day reporting? And what documents do I need?

If in Bangkok, definitely book an appointment. Will save you several hours.

I was in and out within 2 minutes the other day. All you need is a copy of your visa, TM47 and TM30. First time they kept the copy of my DTV, but the IO did ask if I needed it. I didn't even get time to take a seat 😂

No, you show up at the immigration office that serves the area where you live ie where your landlord or hotel has filed a TM30 registration in your name

Just show up.
