How do I apply for the Digital Nomad Visa in Thailand for myself and my family?

Hello!

Me, my wife, and our three children are applying for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa), and I have a few questions. I would be very happy if someone can help me.

1. I will work remotely. Should I apply first, and then my wife and children apply after?

2. I will start my new (remote) job when we arrive, so I don’t have payslips yet. I have all the other documents. Is this a problem? Can I use payslips from my current job instead?

3. My wife and I have a shared savings account in a Swedish bank with 850,000 Baht. We are both account holders. Is this okay, or do we need to change something?

Very thankful for answers!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the application process for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) for themselves, their wife, and their three children. Key questions include the order of application submissions for their family, the implications of not having payslips from their new remote job, and whether their shared savings account balance in a Swedish bank is sufficient. Comments suggest potential issues regarding the perceived sufficiency of their savings, how joint bank accounts may be viewed by immigration, and the necessity of demonstrating previous income.

Depending on the place you apply at, 850K may be considered not sufficient for 2 adults and 3 kids. At the very least, I would try to show 500K per adult.

You may have an issue with your joint bank account. All immigration offices inside Thailand view the funds in a joint account as belonging to each account holder, so only half the funds are yours. How the consulate you plan to use will view it I don't know, but you should find out before applying

A brief cover letter explaining your job transition and lack of current job income, previous job deposits will show you have experience in the market.

1) you have no choice. They cannot apply for theirs until you already have yours.
