DTV with a new passport

Hi, everyone! I know a lot of you already renewed your passport since getting DTV and I know it's usually no problem entering Thailand carrying both passports. 

How do the airlines handle this before you fly to Thailand tho? Do they also check your old passport + the new one? I know a lot of the airlines usually have issues with e-visa being on expired passport.

Yes, if the old passport number is tied to your DTV, then the airline is likely going to check both that one and the new one. Especially if the old one is expired, they will need to see both to verify you've also got an active passport.

When you get to Thailand, go to immigration to have it dealt with.

Denied entry is only one worry for DTV holders. Apparently, 'a lot of airlines have issues' after you renew your passport. Imagine the stress, inconvenience and expense involved in being denied boarding!
