TLDR : Answer Summary
You can pay your electricity and water bills in Thailand without a bank account by using cash at convenience stores like 7/11 or at your condo's office. The TrueMoney app allows you to top up with cash and pay bills through your phone. Additionally, some users mentioned that payments can be made via Lazada for a small fee. If you have a foreign credit card, you might also use apps like MEA for electricity payments. In some cases, you can have your landlord pay the bills in exchange for cash.
Go to kasikorn bank. I just saw a clip about a prepaid debit card. There you can top up money and connect with an app. Then you can use the card for withdrawal, payment and the app for pay with QR code.
Can at 7-11, tops, etc I pay in cash to my condo agent. She shares the bills with me to show me she’s not ripping me off. So I pay maid, internet, electricity, and water. Waiting on her right now.
One of the owners (husband/wife) is a celebrity here in Thailand and are very fair to me. I also pay my rent far in advance 😂 no I won’t say who she is but will say she is very nice & I had no idea months later & asked my condo agent to confirm.
I’ve rented several houses now and I just pay my landlord thru Wise the rent usually with water cus that’s always been a set rate per person then the electric at the end of the month.
I used to go to the water companies office in Udon Thani once a month to pay my water bill in cash. Same with electricity, went to the power companies office to pay cash.
True Money. Just register on the app. 1st they will ask for your passport, then you will need to apply for the advanced features by uploading a picture of your DTV visa and photo of your DTV stamp. Make sure you send a picture of both pages in your passport, not just the stamp, because they will kick it back. Once you do that, you should be able to scan like a local. Unless something has changed since September, you should be approved in 1-3 days.
