Bangkok people - how are you paying your electricity bill (MEA smart life)? I have been unable to open a Thai bank account successfully yet and can not see a way to pay without having one.

My condo also doesn’t provide paper bills so it has to be paid through the app it seems.

Users suggest alternatives like paying via the Lazada app with an international card or using 7/11 with cash or a QR code. MEA always leaves invoices in your letterbox, and condo management does not allow you to remove them. Unless the owner takes it away.

Another option is to obtain your MEA's account number and show it at an authorised payment centre such as 7-11, Big C, or Tesco. They can check the outstanding balance.

How do we find out if our building is smart app? I wasn’t advised of this or if a paper bill would be in the mailbox.

I asked the agency that rented me the condo and crickets so far.

Well pay it in the app then?

You can pay via mastercard/visa on the app itself as well

I believe it's only available on Lazada Mobile App. You have to look for Coupon & Bills then select this. I pay mine through this every month.
