We are a South African couple on our 60 days tourist visa which will expire on the 26 October. We received our study confirmatiin acceptance at the Siam Technology International College and start our BA studies in December. How do we handle the process to extend our tourist visas with the aim to switch over to a B educational visa? Can anybody please assist or advise as we are hestitant to follow the visa consultants route due to agents and consultants using this as an oppertunity to enrich themselves at the cost of struggeling teachers trying to find their feet .PLEASE HELP

TLDR : Answer Summary
The couple is currently on a 60-day tourist visa and needs to switch to an educational visa to start their BA studies in December at Siam Technology International College. They are looking for guidance on extending their tourist visa and transitioning to an ED visa, expressing concerns about using visa consultants due to potential exploitation.

You would NOT be getting B visas <- the B means business. I would imagine IF you are enrolled in a BA program you would get an ED visa <- the ED meaning education ;)

Your college should know how to convert a 60 day tourist visa to first a 90 day ED visa and then a yearly extension based on being enrolled in a degree program at the immigration office.

You need to talk to the school you're enrolled in. They will either tell you that you can do the conversion from a tourist visa to a 90 day ED inside the country OR they will give you documentation to go get a 90 day single entry ED visa from a thai consulate in a nearby country

thank you so much for the advice. I am sure eith have to do a 90 days tourist visa first and then extend switch to the Ed 90 days. Can we apply directly or do we have to outsource a visa expert to assist?
