How Can I Translate the Handout for Changing a Tourist Visa to a Non Immigrant O Visa in Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTERI went to Korat Immigration to get the handout to change from a tourist visa to a Non Immigrant O visa retirement. This is the handout that they gave me. Is anybody able to translate this handout into English?

(just so you and everyone else knows) even though they stamp the word "retirement" in your passport there is NO retirement visa category. :O The actual thai wording is กรณีใช้ชีวิตในบั้นปลาย <- which does translate as "in the instance of living out the end of your life" :P ;) :O (not the most flattering visa category)

Okay just so you are clear
What you are doing is FIRST converting a tourist visa to a 90 day Non-O visa based on being over 50(retirement)
You apply for the 90 day non-O, it will go under consideration, you go back on the date they tell you, get the 90 day Non-O inked in. Then you wait until you have 30 days or less left on that new 90 day stamp and go back and apply for a year extension.
It's a THREE step process.
Strange that they didn't have the english version of that though :/

I think most of the members try to tell you to use Google Translate.
It might be an option, to avoid seeing this post all week with a new comment, you might use Google Translate, I think it is better to close. But you can use Google translate as Google translate might help you, or ask a Thai friend but when he is not sure, try Google Translate.
If Google translate does not help you, ask the Immigration Office or one of these members who know how Google translate does the trick.

My reply would still be: I can not read Thai, please write down the translations in English on the back side. But that is because i do not have Facebook. LOL

Funny that you ask that. I asked for handout and the IO asked me if I had a Thai friend. I said that needed the Non Imm O retirement not married to a Thai. She said you will need a Thai friend as the handout is in Thai.Reply to
