Hi , I just arrived in Laos Vientiane for visa run and one week trip , I want to go back Thailand for next monday.

Since I just arrived couple hours ago , can I ask for thai visa right away and come back to get it next monday ? Or should I wait couple day and come get my visa the day after ?

In the meantime I recommend u go Pakse (Bolaven plateau), it's a nice motorbike ride (but can be very cold).

On a side note.

What are the various ways and costs to go to Laos embassy after crossing the border (immigration).?

Last time I had a tuk tuk which is a complete rip-off.

 why? i do that all the time lol. i paid 60-80 baht while the farang paid 300baht if i am not wrong. while getting back to town area from the embassy. but that was a few years ago.

you are singapore, ha, if you can speak good thai, just try to fake as a thai, than it will be much more affordable.

get back to the same bus, and they will drop you off at the town area if i am not wrong.

If you apply for the visa, you must pick it up the next day. Otherwise they will void the visa.

every time that I have done a visa run in Viettiane - we drop have first thing in the morning (arriving just a few hours before), then pick-up next afternoon
