TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the challenges of obtaining an education visa in Bangkok with minimal learning requirements. Respondents explain that education visas now require actual class attendance and regular reporting to immigration for renewals, and that the leniencies in the past have ended due to regulatory crackdowns. Consequently, for those seeking easy access to extended stays in Thailand, alternatives such as the elite visa are recommended.

Not an option anymore. The education visas where you don't go to class or don't meet the minimum requirements have ended due to an investigation into illicit ED visas.
The crackdown has resulted in many ED visas and extensions being cancelled.
ED is ED. Unless you're attending a university in pursuit of a degree, forget about it.

You may get one. However it will be for 3 months at a time. You MUST attend the course and report to immigration to renew every 3 months. Your progress will be monitored and you will NOT be allowed to use it just to stay in Thailand. But it is very unlikely you will get an Ed visa.
