Has anybody been able to open a Wise account or a Binace account while living in Thailand on a DTV?
I don’t have a tax residency at the moment and would like to start investing once I move here for the next 5 years.
Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the challenges of opening Wise and Binance accounts while living in Thailand on a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). It suggests that it's easier to open such accounts before moving to Thailand and highlights the importance of obtaining a Tax Identification Number (TIN) after relocation. Comments also warning that everyone has a tax residency based on various criteria, and mention the requirements for using Binance, including the necessity of a digital ID and a Thai bank account.
Watch out, we all have a tax residency, no one is a “ghost”. In case of control, and even if you don’t stay 183 days in a country during a year, a residency will be assigned to you based on other criteria such as family or economic interests.
Open the account while you're in your home country, it'll be much easier for you. After moving to Thailand get a TIN number, most likely they will ask for it
not relevant to be honest… I’ve lived in an Arabic country for the past 15 years… after I left, my home country embassy told me that my tax residency does not automatically change back. I’ve been “homeless” for 2 years
