Hello everyone

Apologies if this is not the right page to ask and most likely has been asked before

Planning a trip around July next year but would like to arrive from Australia with 60day tourist visa already approved.

We are not planning on flying home from Thailand but travelling down into KL and then onto Singapore either by train or plane. Little bit hard though with booking trains. Hua Hin to Malaysia border can be booked 90days out but Malay border to KL only 39days out which doesn't really allow enough tome for visa processing from Australia.

Anyway am interested how other people have got the 69day visa before travelling

Answer summary

The user is planning a trip to Thailand in July and needs information about obtaining a 60-day tourist visa in advance from Australia. They are considering the logistics of traveling to Malaysia and Singapore afterward and have questions about typical processing times and visa extensions. Community comments suggest that applying for the visa 90 days in advance is advisable, and there are options to extend the 60-day visa for an additional 30 days once in Thailand. Additionally, concerns about train booking logistics between Thailand and Malaysia were mentioned, with recommendations for online resources.

Arrive with your 60 day visa pre-approved then apply through immigration inside of Thailand for a 30 day Extention, 90 days total.

I assume 69 days is a typo as a tourist visa is 60 days. From all accounts posted on here Sydney or Canberra can be a nightmare to apply from and really slow.

You can apply 90 days prior to your arrival date. Err on the side of caution and apply early
