TLDR : Answer Summary
A German passport holder with a 3-month single-entry business visa in Thailand cannot perform visa runs due to closed borders. The extension can be obtained by meeting the requirements for a one-year Non-B business extension. It's advisable to inquire directly at the local Thai immigration office for specific requirements. Additionally, there's a 60-day COVID extension available until November 26th, which may be applicable.

Back to the OP situation...

If your non b visa is expiring soon suggest you ask Thai immigration for the 60 day COVID extension.

The last day to apply for the COVID extension is November 26th.

thanks a lot James, wasn't sure if the extension is also valid for a business visa.

apply for it... Then you will know. But I think you will get it.

With the COVID situation the time to open the business you planned is not good at this time ... If asked by Thai immigration

Good Luck.

The only way to extend it is simply to meet the legal and financial requirements for the one year Non B business extension.

Ask your Thai immigration office what are those requirements.

And as all land borders are CLOSED as you state there are no border runs or visa runs possible. With none expected this year.
