Hello. I applied for Vietnamese evisa a few days ago, and it is still processing. My flight is this Sunday, is there a way I can get to Vietnam? (U.S. passport)

go on Vietnam Visa Advice group, you can get it expedited in 1 working day or less, but it is the weekend now. It will be expensive if poss.

Seen many reports in Vietnam FB groups saying visa can take 5-7 (or more) days (not the 3 advertised). Nothing you can do to fast track it. They won’t let you on the plane without one.

that must have changed then because before covid the Americans who did not have a visa did theirs in the arrivals hall

Yes we told the yanks we did not need one because of the war. Oops they did not like that comment 🤣

Couldn’t say pre covid. Only went this summer. Was in the FB groups for info about it and saw lots of posts from people caught out by the time taken to get their visas. For Brits (and a couple of others too) not too much of an issue as they get a 15 day exempt stamp. Not followed them since visiting so no idea if it’s changed.
