As I’m not currently working and it mite be a long time before I do.
I’m thinking about cancelling my work permit to save me from paying tax, accountant charges, social secretary for staff.
If I cancel the permit I would have to change to a tourist visa. But how would I do that with not being able to leave Phuket.
Thank you for and information on this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is contemplating canceling their work permit, as they are not currently employed, to avoid additional expenses related to taxes and accountant fees. They express a desire to switch to a tourist visa but are unsure how to do so while staying in Phuket, without the ability to leave the area.
I deleted the picture of your visa (you didn't blocked out your confidential information), but it is a single entry Non-B visa. You are still on your original stamp which expires on May 24th. You can stay in Thailand on this visa until May 24th without requesting any extension of stay from your consulate or immigration.
My advice:
1. Your business activity is not visa advice, and I'm not going to recommend either continuing the business, or shutting it down.
2. Because you are *NOT* on an extension of stay, but instead on your original stamp, you can stay until May 24th assuming you don't do any further immigration related activity.
3. I would pay attention to this group for visa/ immigration related updates, and research further options to stay here around early to mid May. May is a VERY long time away.
