Hello, i need advice from you.

I was at the Krabi immagration office in March for visa extenstion with letter from my embassy. Because of the lockdown and the visa amnesty I haven't visited the Krabi immagration office. I am living on Koh Mak in Trat province now so it is a long way from Krabi.

I am looking into change my visa to retirement visa and no lawyers will be able to help me because the stamp. All layers asked me to get another stamp from from the immagration office to conclude the visa status. But Trat immagration office refuse to do it. Does anyone has the similar situation?

I am living on Koh Mak Trat now and it will be a long trip for me to travel to Krabi. But if I can get another stamp from Krabi office, i will make the long journey there in the next few days.

Many Thanks🙏

Thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to change their visa to a retirement visa after experiencing difficulties with immigration offices. They have been advised that they need to obtain a stamp from the Krabi immigration office, which is far from their current location on Koh Mak in Trat province. However, the Trat immigration office is refusing to assist them, and the user is unsure whether it is worth traveling to Krabi for assistance.

okay, sadly, now you're just making excuses :(

GO to or call the Krabi immigration office and see what they say.

I would wager they'll say seeing as you waited this long, you should just take the amnesty and follow what the government tells amnesty holders to do once it runs out.

Even if you go back and get the second stamp, the covid-19 extension was only for 30 days so that stamp would be expired when you got it AND

I don't know any immigration offices that will issue an in country Non-Immigrant visa from an amnesty stamp.

Still, good luck, take care, stay safe (y)

You should have went to the immigration office on the 10th of April like the stamp said.

I think even if you go to Krabi now they aren't gonna do anything about the stamp BUT you could try it

You failed to follow the procedure for the covid-19 extension which was get the under consideration stamp and then GO BACK to the immigration office on that date to get the second "extension of stay" stamp.

All you can do is try going to Krabi and see what they say. OR you can do nothing wait until the amnesty is up on July 31st and then leave the country when the government tells amnesty holders to leave by.
