Hey guys current situation:

German national.

I am on Koh Samui.

I am on MTEV, have to leave the kingdom on 25.03.20.

I just got married to Thai national.

I wanted to apply for non o, but they need proof of income (I have money, but NOT on Thai account)

Bank doesn't want me to open account because I need non-o or work permit.

Due to the current situation I would rather not leave the country (afraid of not getting back in)

Any ideas?

Something missing?

Thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
A German national on Koh Samui with a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (MTEV) seeks advice on applying for a Non-O visa following their marriage to a Thai national. They face challenges due to banking requirements and express concern about leaving the country under the current situation. Suggestions include considering other banks for opening an account and applying for a 60-day extension of stay based on family visits.

1. What's your nationality?

2. You can open a bank account on any visa; talk to you wife about it.

If you don't want to leave, you can apply for an extension of stay based on visiting family, which is good for 60 days for 1,900THB.
