How can I get a Non-O visa in Thailand and open a bank account without one?
Can someone help me? I’ve been trying to get a non-Visa and I cannot lodge it with the Em home country I came to Thailand and I’m on a 30 day Visa because I asked for a 60 but they would not give it to me. I need a Visa company. Can anyone recommend a good company and a phone number please? and the other question is what bank will open an account for you? So you have proof of the money and funds any help would be grateful.

The standard visitor visa, single entry, is for 60 days. How come they issued a 30 day visa? Which embassy did you get it through?

OPMelissa Batch yeah you do entry online and you apply for 60 days and the view booked a return flight in 60 days. How do you get home? And only 30 days?

I am Canadian and got 60. Did you have a return ticket? Hotels booked? There has to be a reason.

Melissa Batch I’m from Canada and only got 30 days 2 weeks ago. Everybody with no visa around me only got 30 days instead of 60

OPNo the site is in Australia. You have a Canberra or the Sydney embassy but it will not connect to them and Been5 5000 km away. It’s over $3000 in airfares and accommodation just to get to Sydney. I think the Thai Embassy that was used to be in Brisbane to shut down because no one is answering their phone there and you can’t ring him because I won’t talk to you

you can't apply via a consulate in Australia if you are not in Australia. In fact you can't apply via any Thai consulate if you are not in the area served by that consulate. If you don't have a Thai bank account you can't apply inside Thailand either. Best would be to travel to a nearby country and apply for the Non-O there, then you can open a bank account and deposit the required funds for a 12 month extension of stayChris ********

I seen immigration yesterday and showed them my old passport with all my retirement lease stamps in there over the years and the lady there said to me just fill in a Visa retirement Visa application and follow the guidelines but in the guidelines it says you must have $800,000 in a bank so how can I open a bank account if I don’t have the appropriate Visa?John **********

see my response above. In short you can't open a bank account until you have the visa which is why I suggested leaving to a nearby country, applying for the visa there and then returning to open the bank accountLynnette *******
Chris Stuart non-O visas are done online in your home country or a neighbouring country. If you didn't apply and chose to fly in on the visa exempt, you get 60 days stay. You can't open bank account with visa exempt. An agent will cost a LOT of money.
