How can I apply for a DTV as a British citizen living in Cyprus?

I am british but currently living in Cyprus, I wanted to apply for my DTV through the UK embassy in London but when I have started to complete my application it only gives me the option of applying through the Embassy in Rome.  Has anyone here every applied through this particular embassy and if you did were you successful?

You can only apply through the Thai embassy in London if you are physically in the UK or somewhere that embassy has jurisdiction. If you are in Cypress you must apply through the Thai embassy in Rome.

There is a DTV group that you might be able to find specific reports about that embasy if you use the search feature.
