Hi, I have a ED visa (educational visa) I got an opportunity to find a job. So now, my school told me that I needed a non b visa to introduce my WP request but that I needed to turn my ED visa into a tourist visa first, then a tourist visa into a non b visa. Is that the right process or may I change my ED visa into a non b visa directly? Thanks for your help.

Answer summary

The user is inquiring about the process of converting an Educational (ED) visa to a Non-B visa for work purposes. The school advised changing the ED visa to a tourist visa before applying for the Non-B visa, but the user is questioning if it is possible to convert the ED visa directly to the Non-B visa instead.

If you have all the required documents you can apply directly for a Non Immigrant B visa at Consulate or Embassy of Thailand.

Luc Desclee but remember, he said 'OF Thailand' and NOT 'in Thailand'.

I went to Laos to get my initial 'B' visa and believe it's the best location (Savanakhet)
