TLDR : Answer Summary
A recent graduate seeking an internship in Thailand on an ED visa can navigate the process by applying for a volunteer visa instead, as any form of paid or unpaid work typically requires a work permit. It’s recommended to find an organization willing to sponsor the internship, which entails obtaining necessary documents and applying for the visa at a Thai consulate. It's also noted that some companies, particularly in the hospitality sector like Marriott International, may have internship programs that could align with this process.
Then they need to FIND a company that will sponsor them for the 90 day ED visa for the internship, get the documents & go to a thai consulate and buy the visa.

Teo Rodriguez how to find a company to sponsor an internship is NOT a Thai visa question. You or your friend needs to seek out the kind of company which may like to create an internship. That's a chore best done via Google and by contacting Business Companies members in Thailand. Good Luck.
BTW...Marriott International has such a program ...search them and other hospitality industry companies. And your friend could enroll into a Masters Degree University course of study and obtain a Ed Visa too.

You do not graduate until after you do your internship.

This is a student that has graduated and would like to do an internship for experience in thailand (it is not an internship for university credits)

Any work, paid or unpaid, requires a work permit. The chances of getting into trouble by doing a few weeks as an intern are minimal.

That’s a grey area...I’m guessing a volunteer visa would be needed seeing that by being an intern you are not receiving a salary...unless it’s a paid intern then you will need a Wp

Thank you for our responses!
There are many grey areas concerning visas.. This is why I am grateful this pages exists haha
I heard it is illegal for a company to pay an international intern, so it would be an unpaid internship (just allowance)
