I'm looking for some advice. I have a NON-O Retirement Visa that has already been extended for 1 year. My first 3-month check-in with Immigration is on September 1. I left Thailand in July and purchased a re-entry permit from Immigration beforehand. Does the September 1 deadline still apply? If so, I’d have to return to Thailand in time. Or does the specified deadline expire in that case? Thank you very much.
Answer summary
The September 1 deadline for your 90-day reporting no longer applies since you left Thailand. Upon your return, a new 90-day countdown will start from the date you re-enter the country. Ensure that your landlord submits the TM.30 notification upon your return to avoid any issues.

Your Visa and 90-day report are separate processes. You last 90-day receipt shows when your nect reporting input is due. You can submit report a week before due date. (It can be done on-line)
To give you peace of mind: No, the September 1st deadline no longer applies to you, and you do not need to return to Thailand by that date.
Here is exactly how the immigration rules work for your case:
1. Automatic Reset: The moment you left Thailand in July, your previous 90-day countdown was automatically cancelled in the immigration database.
2. New Day 1: Your new 90-day reporting cycle will start fresh on Day 1 on the exact date you clear immigration at the Thai airport upon your return. You will only need to report after spending 90 consecutive days inside the country from that new arrival date.
3. Important Check (TM.30): Just a quick heads-up—please make sure your landlord or condo management re-submits your TM.30 (Notification of Residence) within 24 hours of your arrival back in Thailand. Chiang Mai Immigration is very strict about this, and having an updated TM.30 will ensure your next 90-day report goes smoothly without any fines.
Safe travels on your flight back, and welcome back to Thailand soon! ✈️😊
Alan Rothwell No, there is absolutely NO effect or change on your 1-year permission to stay date.
Because you purchased a Re-entry Permit before leaving, your original 1-year visa expiration date remains exactly the same. When you return, the immigration officer at the airport will stamp your arrival using that same expiration date from your current extension.
Your 1-year visa expiry date stays locked; only your 90-day reporting clock gets a fresh reset! 👍😊
Winfried Heinrichson before close when you come back, be sure inmigration officer stamps you the correct data. Some times, not often but some times, they make mistakes...
90 day report of being in the country continuously for 90 days? If you're not there, then it's not a continuous 90 day stay. Your 90 days count restarts when you return.
If your referring to the 90 day report that's only a requirement if you spend 90 consecutive days inside Thailand. When you return the count starts again with the day you enter being day 1
