Hey! Can anyone tell me if the 2 visa exemptions per year applies only to flying in, or do land border runs count towards that as well?

(I normally get tourist visa, but wasn't able to this time, and already have 1 exemption from flying in Jan, and a land run.) Many thanks!! ✨

Take note - Exemption Entries 30 days are not visas... just an Exemption from not having purchased a visa prior to coming into Thailand

Flying in to get a 30 day Exemption Entry is not officially limited but several back to back fly in entries will likely get you pulled aside and questioned or denied at some point

Entries across land borders to get a 30 day Exemption (in lieu of a visa) are limited to 2 per calendar year

There is no actual rule about number of visas (tourist visas) but several back to back can get you taken aside for questioning and even entry denial

yeah I know, I was wondering about the visa exemption flying in with no visa :) since I normally have a visa, I was unsure if they limit the # of those right now (have been coming to Thailand for years, but they are constantly changing the rules so wondering if anyone has the current info) :)
