Does receiving a request for additional documents during my DTV application mean my initial submission was accepted?

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing good😊.

Just a question if you don't mind helping.

Once you have submitted the DTV application and then a couple of days later received a message for a further document that I've updated as requested, does that mean everything else on my application was ok? Or do they keep coming back as they get further into the application requesting more?

Just wondering if I'm all good after submitting the requested document 🤔.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the query about the DTV application process for visas in Thailand. The original poster expresses concern about receiving a request for additional documentation shortly after submitting their application. Various commenters provide insights, stating that it is common for authorities to request additional information and that the need for further documents often depends on the specific case and the thoroughness of the initial review. The consensus is that while a request for further documentation doesn't necessarily indicate issues with the original submission, there is still a possibility of being asked for more information later.

It's just means people lower down food chain/juniors have completed your application/case file to their satisfaction. It's now in the queue of the actual decision makers, there is no garantee they they might not want more, but is far less likely

You will not know this before you get approved or rejected, there is absolutely no rule they can ask extra info only once.

In your case it is likely they only checked the basics, and not the content yet.

Anonymous participant They could be ok with everything else as they did not ask for anything else. You just have to wait n see.

was just wondering if when they come across a fault is that as far as they go, or do they go through the whole application and then ask for further documents.

Thai brain just isn't the same as the rest of the world lol.

Was just wondering had anyone else been asked for further documents after correcting the fault and it was accepted.

Anonymous participant I think it depends. There have been some applicants who never receive additional requests and then there have been applicants who received multiple requests, with each additional request seeming to have nothing to do with the previous request. What embassy did you apply via? Malaysian embassies seem to be the most problematic

Anonymous participant They tend to ask for everything at once not bit by bit.

perfect, thanks

well, it depends on the documentation you've submitted. If they find something suspicious they might request more proof/documentation and then an interview

it was just for a clearer passport photo which is now perfect. The funny thing is I provided the same picture that was used on my Thai work permit lol, it seems they just have to find at least 1 fault with every application 🤣🤣🤯

Was just wondering if they are happy with my new picture does that mean they have checked everything else and are happy with it? Or do they just keep asking for more as they go through the application?

Anonymous participant when I uploaded my picture it stated that it could give issues, I just made it more bright and "white". It came out a green confirm saying that it was respecting the parameters. It has nothing do to with the documentation, actually the first step is checking that your personal data is correct, after that they'll go through your documentation
