Got my Mrs here in the Uk on a residency visa ! She is in full time work etc got a National insurance number , registered with the NHS etc but still only has a Thai national passport with the visa inside it…. If I want to take her on holiday to Spain or Greece or even just to Germany for the Christmas markets, do we need to get any specific visas to allow this ? Where would I get the definite answers ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Thai national holding a residency visa in the UK will need to apply for a Schengen visa to travel to countries like Spain, Greece, or Germany. The process involves applying at the embassy of the country you plan to visit, and with a Schengen visa, she can travel within the Schengen Area.
Do you mean she has 'indefinate right to remain' visa in the UK? From what I remember you apply to the country's embassy that you want to visit in the UK and apply for your schengen visa there. If you then travel on to other countries in the schengen area the same visa applies. So you could get your visa from Germany and then travel on to Spain and Greece.
she’s on first part of right to remain (Leave to enter) ! She’s only been here since March, she’s done her A1 English and we are in process of setting her up with the next bit then later the English life test ! (She can stay 2.5 years before doing the next bit) But meantime we want to travel around a bit on holidays etc but I don’t want to take her to Europe etc and be turned away because we haven’t got the correct paperwork! Where do I apply and what am I asking for ? Or is she tied to the Uk and can’t go anywhere to visit or holiday ? I’m asking on here because I’m sure someone will have faced the same problems and got a solution and so could possibly aim me in the right direction? Thanks 🙏
