Hi, I have a quick question I'm hoping someone could answer for me. I'm going to be flying to Chiang Mai next month and plan on getting a 30 day tourist visa on arrival..While I'm there i plan on getting a 30 day extension for a total of 60 days. Does the onward flight i show on arrival need to be within the initial 30 days or will they except an onward flight 60 days after my arrival since i plan on getting a 30 day extension? Thank You

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler planning a trip to Chiang Mai is inquiring whether their onward flight must be scheduled within the initial 30-day period of their tourist visa on arrival, considering they intend to extend their stay for an additional 30 days. Comments clarify that there is no 30-day tourist visa on arrival, but rather a 30-day visa exemption that can be extended for a fee. Thus, an onward flight should be shown within the initial 30 days.

If you can extend your stay from visa exempt entry is depend on your passport nationality.

there is no 30days tourist visa on arrival - you talk about a 30days visa excemption - and inside the country you can extens that 30 days for 1900 thb. - u need to show flyonward within 30days period, as you dont have a 60 days tourist visa - might be better to apply for that

upfront
