Does it make sense to apply both muay thai and cooking class for DTV? Does it increase the chance of approval?
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on whether enrolling in both Muay Thai and cooking classes increases the chances of DTV visa approval in Thailand. Responses indicate mixed opinions. Some suggest that applying for a longer course in one field might be more beneficial, while others caution that having multiple activities could raise scrutiny from immigration authorities. Overall, documentation and financial stability are emphasized as the key factors for a smooth approval process.
I don’t know. I think applying for multiple soft power courses and adding them to the application may even raise a flag. You’ll probably decrease your chances of approval because of the added scrutiny.
Some people have had delays, but most issues usually come down to documentation rather than the activity itself.
As long as your paperwork is clear, proof of funds, and proper confirmation from the gym, approvals are generally smooth.
If you’re going through the Muay Thai route, we run structured training at WKK Gym in Bangkok and can guide you on what’s typically needed from the gym side for the DTV process. Happy to discuss more if helpful 👍
It does help if you apply for workcation and explain that you are going to enroll in muay thai and cooking courses in your free time to sponsor the local economy.
Doesn't matter if you do 1 or 3 different activities. They will look at duration of the course/medical procedure and validity of state licensing of the school, your Financials and your previous history of time spent in thailand. After that they will decide or schedule an interview if they need more clarification.
