I’ve been in Thailand for 10 days on a tourist visa single entry Australian passport. I have to leave in 2 days but am coming back ASAP.

A re entry permit keeps the days counting doesn’t it? Like it won’t pause my visa until I come back

TLDR : Answer Summary
A re-entry permit allows you to return to Thailand without losing the days counted on your original entry stamp. However, it does not pause your visa days; you'll need to exit before your admission date expires.

If you're on a re-entry permit means your visa has already expired. You're good until the expiry date of the re-entry permit

a re-entry permit will let you come back and be stamped in until the expiration of the entry stamp you have NOW in your passport
