Hey guys! True or false? If you are on a tourist visa in Thailand and your future employer applies for the letter you need for your non-B, from the ministry of labor,... you have to be out of the country the day they apply for the letter? The company agent said so. I am sceptic.
I would like to avoid leaving Thailand for a day (so the company can apply for the letter), entering again on 30 days, leaving again to get my non-B in Kuala Lumpur, and finally returning on my non-B.
Thanks :)
TLDR : Answer Summary
The debate centers around the requirement for obtaining a Non-B visa in Thailand. A user questions whether they must exit Thailand when their employer applies for the necessary WP 3 form and cover letter from the Ministry of Labor. Commenters indicate that some Labor Ministries issue these documents only if the applicant is outside Thailand, although this policy is deemed nonsensical by some. It is suggested that applicants may leave Thailand (for example, to Kuala Lumpur) to expedite the application process but also need to provide exit and entry stamps as part of their documentation.
