Hello,

Do they have the new DTV visa stamp at the land borders or only at the airports?

Specifically Thailand-Laos land border.

Thank you 🙏🏼

Answer summary

The inquiry is about the availability of the new DTV visa stamp at the land borders of Thailand, specifically at the Thailand-Laos border. Responses indicate that there is no distinct new stamp; rather, a regular stamp is used, with extra days added.

No. It’s a regular stamp. Just more days

Is there even a new stamp? Normally they just use a generic stamp and write what visa type it is on the stamp.

oh thank you for your reply. I saw somewhere it was some specific DTV stamp but it seems they also do it on a generic stamp

Yes. I understood that I will have to show the e-visa and they will give me a generic stamp

That may be the actual DTV visa stamp given in Embassies/Consulates not yet operating the Thai eVisa system

Hopefully others may have the answer.

If you have received the DTV Visa using the Evisa online application system, PRINT OUT THE EMAIL, save it and show it each time you enter Thailand or are seeking to extend it inside Thailand.

AVOID POIPET BORDER CROSSING. It's a problem for foreigners.

Suggest you use an experienced border run service company to take you with a same day return. They know what you need to do and you will get the Visa EXEMPT ENTRY 60 day STAMP.

the Thai Immigration Officer will note on the stamp given you on entry that you have a DTV Visa with the ending date shown. Show PROOF of your having a DTV Visa by printing out the Evisa email you received with the DTV Visa.
