To whom it may concern (German citizens aged 50+): My recent e-mail inquiry at the Royal Thai Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany yielded an answer that they do not issue Non-O-X (retirement visa 5-10 years), only the usual 1-year retirement visa.
But the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin does issue Non-O-X, see [[members only]).

TLDR : Answer Summary
A German citizen aged 50+ inquired about the Non-O-X retirement visa at the Royal Thai Consulate in Frankfurt, which stated they do not issue this visa but only the standard 1-year retirement visa. However, the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin does offer the Non-O-X visa.
