Can you guys please guide me. I heard that immigration officers sometimes ask for showing 500k Thai baht when doing border run.... On dtv it is not allowed to open bank account, then how will I show that I have 500k Thai baht? Can I show my funds in dollars in PayPal or wise or payoneer? Will they accept it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is debate about whether immigration officers in Thailand ask for proof of having 500,000 Thai baht upon entry. Some users report never being asked, noting that checks are infrequent and often random. Those who have faced inquiries suggest showing any available bank account balance or documents related to one's visa. While it is acknowledged that officers can ask for documentation, it varies based on individual cases and officers. It may be advisable to consult an immigration agency for guidance.
Sure, they can ask, and sometimes they do, and if you cannot answer their questions or show the required money, they can cancel your visa. However, it is possible to avoid this 😉

Anonymous participant 741 Checks are random... I've entered Thailand more than hundred times within over 10 years and got questioned twice. It's all about fulfilling your visa requirements.

If that happens, you can show any bank account with that amount. However, I would say the chances are higher that you will need to show documents related to your activity or Workation instead.

Yes, an immigration officer upon your arrival in Thailand can ask you anything and may also want to see that you have the required funds and other documents regarding your stay. This happens to many people, while others are not asked anything at all. It is individual and depends on the immigration officer who checks you. If you want to be sure that you won't have any problems, feel free to contact agency. I can recommend M-thai visa who can help.

When you enter Thailand in international airports more than a few times and immigration has no mood, they can any questions, and anything they want accordingly with entry to Thailand and visa. If they ask you to show it, you just show the same documents that you submitted for Thai Embassy when you applied for DTV, or just open your own bank app and show your bank balance there ) Everyone who got DTV must have any bank account, so it's not big deal to follow up immigration officer requests.
