TLDR : Answer Summary
After receiving a 60-day visa on arrival in Thailand, you can extend it by going to immigration for an additional 30 days. Following this, you may need to leave the country depending on your future visa options. If you choose to 'border bounce,' the nearest points from Phuket include Malaysia and Singapore, which offer visa-free entry for certain nationalities. Alternatively, you could drive to Ranong for the closest land border.

Get a DTV Visa that’s 180 at a time with the option to extend another 180 before you need to leave the country, that’s a 5 year multiple entries visa

No

You can get another TR visa.

Why not just go to an immigration office near Phuket? Don't forget a copy of the TM30.

But, of course, a border bounce gives you the opportunity to see a different country.

That's a multi entry tourist visa METV. It last for 6 months but if you time your border bounces you can get nearly 9 months. On your last entry there is nothing to stop you leaving and returning then getting a visa-exempt entry. They don't do a one year visa now.

so if I go out Feb 25th I can get another 2 months and another 30 days at immigration. What happens after that

The visa is valid until 29 March so if you leave and come back in before 29 march you will get another 60 days which can be extended by 30 days

Correct, from Phuket you'd probably best to fly to border bounce so choose a country where you can enter without buying a Visa

From Pbuket best book cheap flight to malaysia or singapore now and you can get good deals. Otherwise its drive to Ranong for closest border
