Do I need to update my DACT form after moving to a hotel in Thailand due to a rental scam?

I arrived in Thailand to find out that the condo I was supposed to be staying at and paid was a scam. I have booked myself into a hotel for a week until I can find another place to stay. So that means my DACT form as the incorrect address. Do I need to fix this? The hotel gave me a TM 30 form. Is there anything I need to do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author faced a scam regarding their original condo booking in Thailand and has temporarily moved to a hotel, raising concerns about updating their DACT form with the incorrect address. The community response indicates that there is no need to update the DACT, as it is no longer relevant after entering Thailand. The hotel has provided a TM 30 form, but no specific actions are needed regarding the change of accommodation.

not only Thailand I’m afraid, scams is happening everywhere in Europe too. To easy to criticize when you weren’t traveling to another parts of the world. Be kind.

Scams that affect tourism and the image of Thailand as a destination get more attention. It’s worth the try, as long as the time and energy spent on this doesn’t ruin your holiday. I went through a similar process, but gave up, as it was an ordeal.

the tourist police got a bag a taxi driver stole, back to me within 25 minutes of reporting it.

No guarantees but 100% worth making a complaint about your situation. They might sort it out

They would almost certainly do something you would think if it were an Airbnb rental for less than a month. Although you say you went through a friend.

You don't need to do anything. You've already entered. The TDAC is no longer relevant.
