TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to show the TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) at Heathrow before your flight depends on the airline. While some airlines may request it during check-in, others may not. Importantly, the TDAC must be filled out within 72 hours prior to your arrival in Bangkok; thus, if you are flying in 3 days, you might be doing it too early. Although Thai immigration can access your TDAC information electronically, it's advisable to print it out as some airlines might still require it. Be cautious of scam websites—always use the official TDAC site which allows the form to be completed for free.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Heathrow Check in wanted to see mine

@Peter ********
Heathrow check-in has nothing to do with your TDAC. You don't have to submit one, you can actually do it on arrival. But it's a waste of time.
Lynnette *******
Why are you filling it in now? It clearly says within the 72 hours before ARRIVING.
Nigel *******
I am also flying on Wednesday, going to do mine tomorrow afternoon. As I don’t land until 13.25 on Thursday local time. Which is where the 72 hours is counted from.

yes, 72 hours before arriving/ landing. Says on the TDAC site.

@Lynnette ******
72 hours counting from the date of arrival.
Lynnette *******
@Max ************
it's on the TDAC page. As I said.

@Lynnette ******
not "before" 72 hours. It can be done "within" 72 hours of planned arrival
Lynnette *******
@Greg **********
As I said. 72 hours before you arrive. That is the earliest you can fill it in. That's the start of the count down. Nowhere does it say "before" 72 hours.
Greg ***********
@Lynnette ******
"yes, 72 hours before arriving" . . . . . 85 hours or 126 hours would also be "72 hours before arriving". . . it is a pretty misleading wording

@Greg **********
take it up with the Thai authorities, they are the ones who put the 72 hours window to complete the form. Most of us can count back 72 hours from arriving and fill in the form successfully in that period. Sadly, there are those who constantly argue and want every post altered because they find it difficult.

@Wayne *********
be careful, there are scammer websites out there who will try to make you pay for it. The official TDAC website lets you fill out for free

up from 72 hours before your intended arrival at the airport in Bangkok you can fill out the TDAC. After submitting, you will receive an email with a QR code. You can print it or leave it on your phone. I recommend printing. Some airlines want to see it upon check-in to the flight, other won't be bothered. When passing Immigration, they mostly won't ask you for it, because they can see it on their computer screens after having scanned your passport. Kindly note: The visa number and the planned departure from Thailand are NO mandatory fields and can be left empty

You are probably doing it too early if you fly in 3 days time

The main site was down for maintenance yesterday

@Christer ****
unbelievable. Make it an obligation and then making it not work
Max *************
It's actually 3 days counting from the date of arrival.

@Max ************
I will spell it out for you:

Does it give people stress having only 3 days and not knowing how long the application will be out of service? Yes

Should it need maintenance already after being in operation for only a couple of months? No

Does maintenance have to take an entire day? No

Is this the first problem with it? No

Is it always like this with any digital application that Thailand launches? Yes
Christer *****
@Frank ********
You can fill it in on arrival, still. Many people did in July.

@Frank ********
You haven't heard about websites being maintained before? It happens all the time.
