Hi everyone,

I have a Thailand DTV visa and wanted to ask:

Did you need to show a return flight ticket when entering Thailand or when boarding the plane?

Would love to hear from people with recent experience. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Most recent experiences suggest that it is generally not required to show a return flight ticket when entering Thailand on a DTV visa. While some airline staff may ask for it, especially if they are unfamiliar with the visa, explaining that you have a valid visa should suffice. Thai immigration may also not ask for it as long as you have the appropriate visa.

No. Because you have a visa. If not, you may be asked for sight of a return or onward ticket. Usually it’s only your airline when checking-in/boarding who ask but Thai immigration can also do so.

I haven't had to show it, but I've only used Asian airlines as that's where I'm based. They've never asked for it so far.

No its not normal to have to show return.

Some flight attendants dont know what the DTV is and can ask for it, but just explain, tell them your leaving the country before the 180 day requirement, but havent decided when and where your going yet.

I came my first time on excemption and was asked. When explaining they said okay and let me fly.
