Entering for the first time with DTV. Do you need an onward flight ticket? Planning to buy a one way flight. TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Based on recent experiences shared in the comments, it is confirmed that travelers entering Thailand with a DTV do not need to provide a return or onward flight ticket. Presenting your passport, a copy of your DTV, and your arrival boarding card is sufficient for entry.
I entered last week. You do not need a return or onward flight. I presented my passport, a laminated A6 copy of my DTV and the boarding card of the flight I arrived on. I was stamped in under a minute and complimented on my laminated DTV. She said it was so easy to scan and wished everybody did that.

One way is fine. Show airline your DTV if questioned.
