Do I need to provide a detailed bank statement for the DTV Soft Power visa application in Hanoi?

Hi, I'm a freelancer planning to apply for the DTV Soft Power visa in Hanoi as it seems less complicated. Since my income comes from various accounts, would that pose a problem? Do I need to provide a detailed 6-month bank statement showing all income and expenses, or would a 6-month summary statement be sufficient? This is beside my 500k.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV Soft Power visa, it appears that detailed bank statements showing all income and expenses may not be necessary. Instead, the requirement primarily focuses on maintaining a minimum balance of 500,000 THB in a bank account. Several comments suggest that a straightforward overview of the account balance should suffice, with no need to disclose income from various sources. It’s essential to check with the specific embassy you are applying through, as requirements may vary.

They ask for just the amount. Give them a screenshot of the overview amount and that's fine

Income is not a requirement of DTV just 500,000 bht in any bank. You need to check each embassy ask for different length of statements. They are just interested in the monthly balance not every transaction. I just supplied bank statement that showed that not all transactions. Keep it simple

Hey anonymous. Be careful listening to that uneducated guy. Proof of income has been required by some embassy like Singapore. If they ask you for bank statement, it means that they want to see all the transactions and possibly look at income coming in. You can try with no risk to only send the balance and worst case scenario, they will ask for the transactions but do not listen to guys that take short cut and have never fully immigrated to any country.

That's what I was thinking to do, otherwise, it would be hundreds of pages. Thanks.

Anonymous participant detailed statement is rubbish they dint care about your transactions. Also one month could be hundreds of pages don't listen to that other fool it's impossible

If you are going to apply with a Soft Power option, there is no need to show income at all. Bank statement from one account where you have 500k should be enough.

That's what I thought but then I read some comments how people are providing their 6 month bank statements for soft power. So wanted to clarify. Thanks.

Anonym deltagare well some embassies wants 3 month bank statements, some 6 months and others are just interested in an up to date statement... it varies. However it is not a formal requirement to show income in a soft power application, but as commented by others, you can be asked to submit this as additional documentation so it doesn't hurt to be prepared. 😊

Anonymous participant It is very likely that they will ask for income for soft power, so you are right to be prepared for it. They want to make sure that you have income to avoid illegal work. Income from different accounts is not an issue. I did this for workaction.

that's not true income is not a requirement. Only the 500,000 bht in bank

There has been cases of Embassy requiring this. I would always anticipate it.

never seen that in the 6 months l have been in here. I studied all prior to my application. But hey if you want to do it go for it. Beat to give them exactly what is required. There was a guy in front of me at the embassy with so much paper work they told him to go away
Julien ****
I am only saying to be prepared for it, not to submit immediately, don't get all excited. I have immigrated to several other countries before and I have learnt to anticipate. But hey, if you want to do it like a cowboy, go for it !
David ********
@Julien ***
got nothing to do with a cowboy. Just do as they ask no need for other anticipation. If you do your homework and stuck to what the embassy that you are applying like previous people no problem. The problems start when people anticipate bit don't supply the correct documents then the embassy will ask for what is actually required not what you think is required. It's simple really but you want to make it complicated

Ask AI to read my text as you seem to have some real issues understanding what I am saying. You have probably never immigrated to any countries so you would not understand the complexity of it anyway.
