Entry into Don Mueang back from a week in Vietnam. I/O never even looked up from her desk, but did ask for the DTV Visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand, especially at Don Mueang Airport, it’s essential to present your visa together with your passport. Failure to do so may lead to unnecessary complications at immigration, as officers may not be aware of your visa status without seeing it.

Well duh. How else is she supposed to know what visa you're on if you don't present it together with your passport?
