I'm already in Thailand. Do I have to leave thai to go to another country to apply for a DTV?
Answer summary
To apply for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, you must leave the country and cannot apply while you are in Thailand. You may submit your application online through the Thai embassy in another country and must remain there until your application is approved. Failure to do so may result in visa rejection and loss of application fees.

Wow. I can’t believe how nice and civilized everyone is being to this person with a basic question. When I asked a complicated and not recently answered question, I was roasted!
Yes, and you must stay in whichever country you choose to apply from until your visa is approved before coming back into Thailand. Otherwise your visa application could be rejected and you will loose your visa fee
DTV takes some time to process and gain approval. The DTAC can be filled out anytime from 3 days prior to arrival, to standing like an idiot in Suvarnabhumi upon arrival.
Not the same thing.
Visa except is still available, but still requires a DTAC.
They may ask for (1) your entry stamp into the country where you're applying from, and (2) your basis for lawful presence there (e.g., citizenship, residence permit, tourist visa, etc.).
Ryan Blackley, My application form was done in Poland, which did not require any kind of exit stamps. But how is this requirement handled when you don't have an exit stamp?
