Hello, have a METV and just arrived in Bangkok a couple of days ago. My question is, do we need to keep this TM6 even though we have a METV?

I assume yes, but can someone please explain to me what it is?

Also, are we meant to carry our passports on us at all times? Thanks all.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you need to keep the TM6 form along with your passport while in Thailand, even if you have a METV. The TM6 is the departure card that you must present when leaving the country or if you extend your stay at immigration. It’s essential to fill in your information, as losing it can cause issues with immigration.

As explained that you need this and keep it with your passport. Thanks for the question.

Do not lose this. I did once and it caused me tons of trouble (had to go to immigration to get a special replacement one.) It doesn’t matter what type of visa you come in on, you still need to show that you came into country and you have a departure card to get out. Fill in your information on it so you have it ready to hand over when you leave or get an extension.

Yes you're supposed to keep it. If you extend your stay at immigration you will need it. If you just leave the country after 60 days it doesn't matter if you lose it as you can get a new one at the airport or land border.

They will not let you out at land border if you do not have one, in my experience.

Keep it and hand to immigration office on departure.

It’s your departure card it says so in the top right.

They kept the other half that is the arrival card when you entered the country.

You’ll get one each time you enter the country.
