Hello! Question about 90 days report. My first 90 days will be March 10, I leave Thailand on March 16 for a week trip. After that I plan to come back and stay more than 90 days, I also plan to do a 90-day report and get a resident certificate => come to the immigration office.
Do I have to do TM47 now if I plan to leave country soon? Do they check TM47 for previous entries in the immigration office and will there be problems in the future if I don’t do it now?
I live in Bangkok, there are long queues in immigration office. I don’t understand if it’s worth wasting my time

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is asking about the necessity of filing the TM47 form for their 90-day report before a brief trip outside Thailand. They are concerned about whether not filing it before their departure could lead to future issues upon their return. Responses in the comments affirm that the report is generally required if staying 90 consecutive days and explain the timing flexibility for filing it.

Yeah, that’s the rule, but an idiotic one (duplicates tm30 for one) and not strictly enforced. You would have zero problems here in Koh Samui, but Bangkok is more strict. However the realistic worst case scenario is 2000 baht fine
