Hello everyone, I’ve been looking through the posts and can’t really find any information about this and if it’s out there, I apologize for missing it.

What I’m really curious about this because I travel full-time is putting the place of application on the application for example I currently my legal residency in Florida in the United States of America, but I travel on a cruise ship this time so do I need to actually go to an embassy or anything like that back in the US physically or have to plan out and visit along my travels where I’m gonna be at to be there physically?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is inquiring about the process of applying for a Thai visa while traveling full-time on a cruise ship, specifically whether they need to return to their U.S. residency in Florida to apply physically at an embassy. Responses clarify that physical presence in a country is generally required for visa applications, and being on a cruise ship does not fulfill this requirement. Some comments suggest the possibility of applying without a current passport entry in the system but caution against the risks.

Go back to/stay in Florida, apply from there, and stay there until approved because, other than getting off of the ship and staying in a hotel for a period of time, I don't know how you prove you are currently in the country where you are applying from a ship.

While in theory you have to be in the country where you’re applying, if you don’t actually have your passport information entered into any system and your U.S. phone number works while aboard, you’d likely be fine.

That’s if you’re willing to risk the small chance they ask for an embassy interview, of course, in which case you can simply say you cannot make it at this time and eat the application fee.

In order to apply you must be physically in a country, any country, to apply, and technically stay in that country until the application is resolved. You can not apply from a cruise ship.
