Hi all,

I would like to apply to the DTV from Hanoi embassy as it seems easier but I would like stay in HCMC while waiting for the process.

Is it possible ? Would they ask proof of accommodation in Hanoi or they don’t mind ?

Each consulate has jurisdiction over a certain area. While you don't need to stay in one place I certainly wouldn't be showing location proof outside the jurisdiction. When choosing your location on the website application it informs you of the respective areas.
