Hello everyone, I’m looking for some advice if possible please ?
If someone currently in Thailand on an Education visa, with re-entry permission from immigration decides to travel to the Philippines, do they need to apply for a Thai Pass to re-enter Thailand ?
I’ve been to immigration and they have said that Thai Pass is nothing to do with them.
Part of the criteria for Thai Pass is having a ticket to exit thailand. If required then should this person just buy a return for any time period within the validity of their education visa ?
Another requirement for Thai Pass is to be domiciled in one country for 21 days prior to entering Thailand, is this still required as this person should only need to leave for 1 week ?
Please feel free to ask any questions if my explanation is not clear. Many thanks for reading this and happy Songkran to you all.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses whether someone on an education visa in Thailand needs to apply for a Thai Pass to re-enter after a trip to the Philippines. Responses clarify that everyone must apply for a Thai Pass for re-entry, regardless of visa status. It’s noted that the criteria for the Thai Pass include having a return ticket and being domiciled for 21 days in one country prior to entry into Thailand. However, it is suggested that the education visa does not necessarily require a return flight out of Thailand.
