Hi wanting to change my tourist visa into a non-o as a dependent, does anyone know if my father needs to accompany me to immigration to do this or are the copies of his passport and my birth certificate all that's required.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To convert your tourist visa to a Non-O visa as a dependent, it is required that your father accompany you to the immigration office. Additionally, you need at least 15 days remaining on your current visa stamp to process this change. It's advisable to bring all relevant documentation, including copies of your father's passport and your birth certificate.

he definitely has to go with you. And if you're in Bangkok you'll need 15 days left on your current stamp to do the conversion from a tourist visa to a 90 day Non-O.

I'd take as much documentation as you have and go out to Chaengwattana and ask at Section C1 (the section that issues Non-Immigrant Visas).

You do know that you can only be "piggy-backed" as a dependent on your fathers extension of stay until you're 20 right?

@Man****
, Hmmm, that's what the people at section C1 said? :/

I guess you'd take copies of your father's passport and his yearly extension of stay along with the birth certificate and go to a thai consulate to get a 90 day Non-O visa then apply for the yearly extension
