When going for a one year extension of the O retirement visa do you need to have color copies of your passport pages or black-and-white is OK?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For the one year extension of the O retirement visa in Thailand, black and white copies of your passport pages are acceptable. Multiple users confirm that color copies are not necessary and could even be rejected. It is recommended to ensure all signatures on the copies are in blue ink. Additionally, be prepared for other requirements related to your application, such as having a re-entry stamp.

Thanks everybody for your input. Black and white was all I needed.

Couple of pieces of advice: make sure to ask to have a re-entry stamp in your passport. One time is only ฿1000 but multiple reentry will set you back about ฿2500.

Also, in the instructions it said: have a picture of you in front of your building with the number of the building visible or a picture of you in front of your apartment with the number visible. When I saw “or” I assumed that just the apartment number would be good enough, but I have to bring a picture with the building number after all.

" One time is only ฿1000 but multiple reentry will set you back about ฿2500." . . . . . . . . .that was definitely wrong and you didn't really understand what they said. A multi re-entry permit is 3800 THB on every Immigration office in Thailand. At the airports you have to add 200 THB to the above fees of 1000 for single and 3800 for multiple, if you don't bring readily prepared application forms and passport size pictures

it is always less expensive to buy the re-entry permit at the Immigration office. The best method is, buy the re-entry permit right after you have been issued the "1-year Extension of the Stay Permit" stamp in your passport. In most Immigrations, you will need two passport size pictures for the application to a re-entry permit

It's the same. I already know I'll be traveling out of the country 3 times or more every year so I always get the multi. I can't even remember the last time I've done a 90 Day reporting.

I actually had copies rejected because they were in colour and they claimed they were scans not copies. Black and white is oddly safer.

I just found out the hard way that as soon as you get to Thailand open bank account and deposit the funds. I waited to long and will be 5 days past my 90 days so will get penalized 500 baht for each day. Because the funds need to be in the Thai bank account for 2 months before you can apply for extension

thank you for that because I’ve already made some black-and-white copies. Just wasn’t sure if they would require color.
