Anyone has experience flying to Thailand with Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa or Austrian)? I am asking precisely about onward ticket, if they usually ask for it if you have one-way ticket booked.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When flying to Thailand with Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa or Austrian), experiences vary regarding the necessity of an onward ticket. Some travelers mention that if your return ticket is more than 60 days out or if you only have a one-way ticket, airlines might ask for a visa or onward travel documentation. However, others report that they have never been asked for either documentation, despite flying multiple times with these airlines. Additionally, certain visa types, like the DTV, may exempt travelers from needing an onward ticket.
I fly with them 4-6 times a year to BKK in BC. If your return ticket is more then 60 days, or you don’t have an RT ticket, chances are they ask for your visa or an onward ticket as they don’t want to be accountable if you would be denied entry in Thailand.
If you have certain types of visa, the DTV included, you do not need an onward ticket.
Source: me, who have entered already like 4 times on my DTV, always with onward tickets (I don't buy the return in advance as I'm not certain of my travel dates until like 1-2 days prior). Haven't had any trouble. Didn't traveled on Lufthansa, but Thai Airways, Air Asia and Air Premia.
Flown both Lufthansa and Austrian via Frankfurt,Stuttgart and,Munich direct and indirect into BKK. Never been asked if I have either a visa or a return ticket. But that doesn’t mean you won’t….
